Ray Haynie, CPA

Since 2004, Ray has been an integral member of the Frost & Company, PLLC team. He works with clients in a wide variety of industries, including real estate, construction, wholesale, and professional services. His specialty is in serving pass-through entities, family-owned businesses, sales-side transactions, and business reorganizations. A professional in the accounting field since 1979, Ray has worked with a wide variety of public accounting firms. His longest tenure—15 years—is with Frost & Company.

A dedicated professional, Ray is a go-to person in the firm for a variety of complex accounting strategies and issues. He describes his personal philosophy of service as “listen first”. Ray attributes his career success to the combination of a strong work ethic, a learning attitude, and the ability to keep the big picture in mind. His favorite quote, by Steven Covey, illustrates Ray’s attitude well: “Seek first to understand, then to be understood.”

A self-described “army brat,” Ray lived in many places growing up, moving approximately every other year. He eventually put down roots in Auburn, Washington, where he currently lives. Ray is a private pilot and enjoys spending his free time flying his airplane.
